5boro designed Astoria park NYC to open end of summer

There will soon be a better reason to make the long haul out to Astoria, Queens besides the unforgiving Con-Ed Banks.......

Ground was broken earlier this month on a new mIllion dollar state of the art Skate Plaza right underneath the Triboro Bridge at Astoria Park in Astoria, Queens. The park was designed by the 5Broro crew headed by Steve Rodriguez and with the helps of NYC Parks Department is looks like this park will be open to the public by the end of summer. This unsupervised skate plaza is just a 3 minute skate from the Astoria Blvd. stop on the "N" train and is right off the 31st Street exit off the Brooklyn Queens Expressway. As you can see by the photos below the park is shaping up to be pretty dope. Hope to see you all on opening day.
